Bluelight LLC is seeking a skilled backend engineer to join our Elixir-based team. You will design, build, and maintain high-performance APIs and services with a focus on reliability and scalability.

Collaborate with product managers and designers, implement RESTful APIs (and GraphQL) and ensure robust data models in PostgreSQL. The role offers remote work, competitive compensation, and opportunities for professional growth.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency with Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
• Experience with OTP, concurrent and distributed systems, and functional programming principles.
• Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs (and/or GraphQL) and working with PostgreSQL (Ecto).
• Strong product sense and passion for building reliable, scalable systems.
• Excellent communication and collaborative/agile team work skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend systems and APIs with Elixir/Phoenix.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into scalable services.
• Own features from conception to launch, including technical specs and release processes.
• Write unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews to ensure code quality.
• Identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, and improve performance and fault tolerance.
• Stay current with Elixir ecosystem trends to drive innovation.
