Bluelight LLC is seeking a skilled backend developer to join our rapidly growing team. You will design, build, and maintain high-performance Elixir and Phoenix-based services, collaborate with product managers and designers, and own features from conception to release.

You should have 3+ years of professional experience, strong OTP and distributed systems knowledge, RESTful APIs or GraphQL, and PostgreSQL. We offer remote work, competitive pay, generous PTO, and learning opportunities.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional software development experience, backend focus.
• Strong proficiency with Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
• Experience with OTP, concurrent and distributed systems.
• Proven experience designing/building RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL with PostgreSQL (Ecto).
• Strong product sense and passion for reliable, scalable systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in an agile team.

Responsabilidades

• Build & Innovate: design, build, and maintain backend systems and APIs using Elixir and Phoenix.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into scalable services.
• Own features from conception to launch, including specs, code, and release processes.
• Write unit/integration tests; participate in code reviews to ensure quality.
• Identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, and improve performance and fault tolerance.
• Stay current with Elixir ecosystem and industry best practices.
