Bluelight LLC is seeking an experienced backend engineer specializing in Elixir and the Phoenix framework. You will design and build high-performance services, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and own features from concept to release in a remote-friendly environment.

The role emphasizes writing robust tests, improving scalability, and staying current with the Elixir ecosystem while delivering high-quality, reliable systems for our clients.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional software development with backend focus.
• Proficient in Elixir and Phoenix framework.
• Experience with OTP and distributed systems.
• Design & build RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL with PostgreSQL (Ecto).
• Strong product sense and collaborative, agile mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain backend systems and APIs using Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into scalable services.
• Own features from conception to launch with clear specs and reliable releases.
• Write unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews to ensure code quality.
• Identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, and improve performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Stay current with Elixir ecosystem to drive innovation and improvements.
