Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an Accounting Manager for a fully remote, full-time leadership role overseeing the full accounting cycle, job costing, revenue recognition, and financial reporting across diverse construction projects.

You will drive compliance, optimize processes, lead the accounting team, integrate QuickBooks Online with other tools, and partner with leadership on budgeting and cash flow in a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of accounting experience with U.S.-based companies.
• CPA certification strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction/job-costed accounting.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and external applications integration.
• Fluency in English, written and verbal.
• Excellent communication and remote-work discipline.
• Ability to lead and coach accounting staff.

Responsibilities

• Own the full accounting cycle including reconciliations and close.
• Oversee job costing and WIP schedules across projects.
• Manage percentage-of-completion revenue recognition and progress billing.
• Provide financial guidance to leadership for decisions.
• Lead integration of external apps with QuickBooks Online.
• Oversee payables, receivables, and vendor interactions.
• Support compliance for federally funded projects.
• Review and coach accounting staff as the team grows.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.
• Strengthen internal controls and reporting processes.
• Utilize digital tools like QuickBooks Online, Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom.
• Evaluate AI applications to improve accounting efficiency.
