ABB in Nogales seeks an experienced Technical Product Manager to drive transformer design and IP initiatives within the ELSB Transformers Business Line. You will partner with R&D to advance technology, maintain design knowledge, and deliver robust solutions for global customers.

This role requires strong technical background in electrical design, experience with industry standards, and bilingual English/Spanish communication. Travel as needed and a focus on innovation.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in electrical design, especially transformer design and development.
• Knowledge of UL, CSA, NEMA, IEEE, and IEC standards.
• Experience using transformer design and analysis simulation software.
• Fluent English and Spanish communication.
• Willingness to travel.
• Customer-oriented mindset with solid problem-solving skills.
• Experience in manufacturing processes, transformer assembly, and test report interpretation.
• U.S. visa and passport preferred.

Your Role: Meet the Challenge

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to technology, product, and solution development, as well as related Intellectual Property (IP). You will serve as the first point of contact within Research & Development for specific product-related issues and maintenance activities. You will also leverage your skills to identify, propose, and implement innovative solutions that help business results.

This role is contributing to the the ELSB Transformers Business Line based in Nogales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain knowledge in a specialized area by incorporating the latest technologies, tools, and methodologies into your work.
• Develop innovative approaches to solving complex engineering challenges by generating ideas, creating hypotheses, and defining validation methods.
• Document technical findings, designs, calculations, and project results to ensure knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
