ABB in Tlajomulco de Zuñiga, Jalisco, seeks an engineer to optimize production methods, cycles, and equipment to reduce labor hours while meeting quality, efficiency, cost, and safety goals.

You will define work phase sequences for new processes and support production targets, with travel up to five times per year and English communication expected. Join a team focused on clean, efficient manufacturing in the Motion business line.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Experience with PLCs and manufacturing processes is desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Willingness to travel up to five times per year.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and implement improvement opportunities, ensuring timeframe, quality, and cost requirements.
• Approve process designs and perform final tests.
• Provide support to Production during start-up and train maintenance and production resources.
• Evaluate new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction.

Your Role: Meet the Challenge

In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the production organization’s assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your skill by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to meet the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.

The work model for the role is:

This role is contributing to the Motion business line Nema in Tlajomulco de Zuñiga, Jalisco.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Identifying and recommending improvement opportunities and implements improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements.
• Approving the design for processes developed internally or externally and performing final tests with respect to the project.
• Providing support to Production during the internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources.
• Evaluating new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining and managing testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices.

Qualifications For The Role

• You are highly skilled and enjoy working with PLC and the manufacturing market
• You are recent graduate or have at least six months of professional experience including internship
• Experience with machinery and tools (PLCs such as Siemens or Fanuc)
• You are interested in Electric motors and teamwork, problem solving, time management
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Robotics, Industrial, Mechatronic engineer), or Technical high school diploma (Technical Vocational Degree)
• You can express yourself clearly in English
• Availability to travel for business at least five times per year (must hold a valid Mexican passport and a valid U.S. visa)
• Knowledge of pneumatics
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Knowledge and use of AutoCAD or SolidWorks
