Job summary

ABB is seeking an experienced leader to manage production and maintenance at the Nogales Transformers Plant. You will drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets while directing cross-functional collaboration and capital projects.

The role emphasizes lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and building high-performing teams through coaching and performance management. Strong English/Spanish communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years experience leading manufacturing operations and maintenance teams in an industrial environment.
• Strong leadership, people management, and change management capabilities.
• Advanced English and Spanish communication, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Lead production and maintenance operations to achieve targets related to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
• Develop and execute operational plans, budgets, KPIs, and improvement initiatives that drive world-class manufacturing performance.
• Partner with Quality, Manufacturing, Planning, Fulfillment, and Engineering teams to improve customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, equipment reliability, and inventory management.
• Foster a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and implementing preventive actions.
• Build, develop, and lead high-performing teams through coaching, performance management, and talent development.
• Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, cost optimization, and process excellence.
