ABB's Automation Measurement and Analytics division in Mexico City seeks a service engineer to perform field service tasks with low to medium complexity, following ABB processes and safety guidelines.

You will plan and execute work with a first-time-right approach, interacting with customers on-site and demonstrating urgency and care. The role requires travel up to 50% and reports to the Service Manager.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Advanced English communication skills (oral and written).
• Willing to travel 50% of the time.

Your Role: Own the Challenge

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility.

Location

This role is contributing to the Automation Measurement and Analytics Division in Mexico City.

Accountability

• Working with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer’s operations and eliminate pain points.
• Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products.
• Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.
• Troubleshooting equipment/process failures, requesting proactive corrective actions, and making recommendations to avoid such issues in the future.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Preferably Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Chemical, Automation, Electronics, or related)
• At least one year of professional experience related in a similar role
• Microsoft Office management
• Advanced English communication skills (oral and written)
• Willing to travel 50% of the time in the year
