ABB en México busca un Technical Product Manager para liderar desarrollo de soluciones en la línea Transformers basada en Nogales. Serás el primer punto de contacto en I+D para temas de producto y mantenimiento, proponiendo soluciones innovadoras que impulsen resultados comerciales.

El rol requiere experiencia en diseño eléctrico de transformadores, dominio de normas industriales y capacidad de comunicación en inglés y español. Involucra viajar según necesites y contribuir a IP del área.

Qualifications

• Se requiere título en ingeniería eléctrica o electromecánica.
• 8+ años de experiencia en diseño eléctrico, especialmente transformadores.
• Conocimiento de normas como UL, CSA, NEMA, IEEE e IEC.
• Experiencia usando software de simulación para diseño/análisis de transformadores.
• Dominio de inglés y español.

Responsibilities

• Mantener conocimiento actualizado en un área especializada incorporando tecnologías y herramientas.
• Desarrollar enfoques innovadores para resolver desafíos de ingeniería mediante ideas, hipótesis y validación.
• Documentar hallazgos técnicos, diseños, cálculos y resultados de proyectos.
• Contribuir a la generación de IP y apoyar estrategias de IP de proyectos.

Your Role: Meet the Challenge

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to technology, product, and solution development, as well as related Intellectual Property (IP). You will serve as the first point of contact within Research & Development for specific product-related issues and maintenance activities. You will also leverage your skills to identify, propose, and implement innovative solutions that help business results.

The Work Model For The Role Is

This role is contributing to the the ELSB Transformers Business Line based in Nogales.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge in a specialized area by incorporating the latest technologies, tools, and methodologies into your work.
• Develop innovative approaches to solving complex engineering challenges by generating ideas, creating hypotheses, and defining validation methods.
• Document technical findings, designs, calculations, and project results to ensure knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to Intellectual Property (IP) generation within your area of specialization and support the development of project IP strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in electrical design, particularly in transformer design and development.
• Solid knowledge of applicable industry standards, including UL, CSA, NEMA, IEEE, and IEC.
• Experience using simulation software for transformer design and analysis.
• Advanced English and Spanish communication skills.
• Availability to travel as required.
• Customer-oriented mindset with solid problem-solving skills.
• Experience in manufacturing processes, transformer assembly, and test report interpretation.
• Valid U.S. visa and passport are preferred.
