Molex is seeking an Advanced Quality Planning Engineer in Mexico to drive robust quality plans for new products. You will partner with Product Development, Process Development, Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality to ensure flawless launches while meeting quality, delivery, and cost targets.

You will help develop PFMEAs, Control Plans, and validation activities, plus perform capability studies and 8D problem solving.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
  • Minimum 3 years in Quality Engineering or related role.
  • Experience supporting NPI or product launches.
  • Experience applying PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and process capability analyses.
  • Proven ability to lead problem-solving and corrective actions in manufacturing.
  • Intermediate English for technical discussions.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead development and maintenance of PFMEAs and Control Plans to mitigate risks prior to production.
  • Coordinate and execute process validation activities including Run@Rate to assess readiness.
  • Facilitate metrology planning, qualification, and disposition for new products.
  • Perform statistical analysis and capability studies to keep processes in control.
  • Define inspection criteria and control limits aligned with customer requirements.
  • Drive 8D and 5 Why based root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Supplier Quality on qualification, documentation reviews, and compliance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of NPDI and product development processes.

As an Advanced Quality Planning Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring successful new product launches by proactively identifying and mitigating risks throughout the product development lifecycle. Working closely with Product Development, Process Development, Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality teams, you will develop and maintain quality planning strategies that enable flawless execution while meeting customer expectations for quality, delivery, and cost. This role provides an excellent opportunity to influence product and process quality, drive continuous improvement, and build strong partnerships across the organization

You will be part of Molex's Datacom and Specialty Solutions business, supporting innovative connectivity solutions used in telecommunications, data centers, hyperscalers, and other advanced technology applications. Our team collaborates across functions to deliver high-quality products and successful product launches while fostering a culture of teamwork, continuous learning, and operational excellence.

What You Will Do
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the development and maintenance of PFMEAs and Control Plans to identify and mitigate manufacturing risks before production launch.
  • Coordinate and execute process validation activities, including Run@Rate events, to evaluate manufacturing readiness and process capability.
  • Facilitate metrology planning, qualification activities, and new product disposition processes to ensure successful product introduction.
  • Perform statistical analysis and process capability studies to ensure manufacturing processes remain capable and under control.
  • Define quality standards, inspection criteria, and control limits that support production excellence and customer requirements.
  • Drive root cause investigations and corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and 5 Why Analysis.
  • Partner with Supplier Quality teams to support supplier qualification, documentation reviews, and compliance activities.
  • Contribute to systemic improvements that strengthen new product development processes and reduce recurring quality issues.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering or a related quality role.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) or product launch projects.
  • Experience using quality planning methodologies such as PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and process capability analysis.
  • Experience leading problem-solving and corrective action activities within a manufacturing environment.
  • Intermediate English proficiency with the ability to participate in technical discussions.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Experience with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949.
  • GD&T analysis experience.
  • Experience within electronics manufacturing environments.
  • Experience using Minitab for statistical analysis.
  • Experience using Power BI to analyze, visualize, and communicate quality or manufacturing data.
  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within diverse teams, respond constructively to feedback, and build strong partnerships across functions.
