Job summary

Flex Guadalajara is seeking a Program Manager to oversee end-to-end product lifecycle for manufacturing programs. You will ensure production, quality, safety, and cost targets are met while managing resources across cross-functional teams to maximize customer satisfaction and manufacturing performance.

Reporting to the VP, Program Management, you will drive forecasting accuracy, cost control, and timely delivery, with travel as needed to meet program objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM, Engineering, Business Admin, Operations Management, or related field.
• Manufacturing/supply chain, engineering and finance exposure and operation planning experience.
• Understanding of budgeting/forecasting, cost control and cash management implications.
• Knowledge of contracts incl. price, delivery, obligations, warranty, scope.
• Familiarity with KPIs, site inventory, turns, warehousing, and continuous improvement.
• Advanced English and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Leading small to medium projects with cross-functional teams from initiation to completion.
• Participating in project planning and contributing to timelines and deliverables.

• Delivering manufacturing cost committed to the forecast and monitoring FCST variances.
• Overseeing planning, execution, and delivery on time within Manufacturing cost FCST.
• Defining and managing project scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables.

Reporting to the VP, Program Management the Program Manager manages and oversees the end-to-end product lifecycle for a manufacturing program, ensuring that production, quality, safety, and cost targets are met. The Program Manager is accountable for maintaining efficient manufacturing operations to meet internal and customer expectations. This role focuses on achieving high levels of forecast accuracy, managing manufacturing costs, and project timelines aligned with the overall manufacturing capacity for a customer program. This role requires a strategic leader who can effectively manage resources with cross-functional teams, optimize operational processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximize customer satisfaction and manufacturing performance.

What a typical day looks like:

• Interfacing with customers, including solving customer problems, building relationships, and managing escalations.
• Leading successfully small to medium-sized projects with cross-functional teams from initiation to completion in a fast-moving environment.
• Participating in project planning sessions and contributing to timelines and deliverables.
• Participating in cross-departmental teams to deliver projects or initiatives.
• Facilitating meetings between different teams to ensure alignment.
• Effectively presenting project updates to stakeholders and senior leaders.
• Preparing reports or presentations summarizing project progress and outcomes.
• Participating in lean initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional teams (CFT), coordinating efforts across different departments.
• Responsible for delivering the manufacturing cost committed to the forecast. Monitor financial performance, report on Manufacturing cost FCST variances, and drive actions for improvement.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring they are completed on time and within Manufacturing cost FCST. Define and manage project scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
• Manufacturing/industrial industry in supply chain, engineering and finance, and operation planning positions.
• Understanding of key financial indicators and their implications on profit and loss statements and balance sheets. Possesses in-depth knowledge of budgeting/forecasting, cost control, and cash management
• Understands contracts, including commercial (price, delivery, obligations, warranty, scope, etc.) supply chain and legal terms.
• Knows manufacturing processes, including KPIs, deliverables, quality, supply chain management (Site inventory, turns, efficiency and optimization around warehousing), production capabilities (human, machine, materials - Bill of Material Pricing & Approved Vendor List), resource management, and continuous improvement to ensure on time delivery and customer.
