Descripción de la vacante

Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc (CVG) seeks a plant leader to direct assigned leaders and operators toward achieving the plant’s KPIs and continuous improvement across all processes. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency while coordinating line startups and 5S strategies.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in engineering (or related field) and at least 2 years in automotive manufacturing with IATF 16949/ISO 9001 experience, plus intermediate English proficiency.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive manufacturing with IATF 16949/ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Intermediate level verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsabilidades

  • Achieve production, efficiency, quality, safety, and attendance indicators by motivating both direct and indirect staff in the work area.
  • Coordinate production line startups.
  • Execute strategy for LPA’s and 5S.
  • Participate in Safety Walks.
  • Monitor shipments and mitigate risks.
  • Develop multi-skilled capabilities in team members.
  • Review headcount and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate team meetings within the work areas (N1, N1.5).
  • Review indicators below target and create action plans.
  • Participate in MRB meetings.
  • Conduct audits and ensure compliance with standardized work.
  • Promote a teamwork environment.
  • Foster a safety culture in the workplace.
  • Inform and raise awareness of safety aspects with direct reports.
  • Engage in identifying and eliminating risks in the work area, assisting in investigation, and supporting preventive and corrective actions.
  • Monitor unsafe acts and conditions.
  • Support employee development in coordination with HR by reviewing and updating training programs for team members.
  • Take responsibility for actions.
  • Adapt to frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Maintain consistent performance and effective time management.
  • Continuously contribute cost‑saving ideas.
  • Adhere to environmental and climate change policies.
  • Identify, control, and minimize significant environmental aspects relevant to the work area.
  • Implement good environmental practices.
  • Foster an environmental culture.

Educación

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience

Education/Experience/Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.

Language Skills:
  • Intermediate level verbal and written communication skills in English to communicate with customers and other employees.
Mathematical Skills:
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical control, fractions, and percentages applicable to practical process situations.
Reasoning Ability:
  • Problem‑solving skills and logical thinking with various variables and situations.
Computer Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet, and E‑mail.

Level of Authority: This position has authority over leaders and operators.

  • Has the authority to stop operations and/or activities if there are unsafe conditions or acts that could cause injury or harm to employees, pose risks to facilities, machinery, or equipment, or represent an environmental threat.
  • Evaluate the performance of supervised employees.
  • Authorize time off and vacation for supervised employees.
