Job summary

Carrier in García, Nuevo León, Mexico, seeks a Production Manager to plan, direct, and control plant production operations ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and delivery in line with technical specifications.

You will optimize labor, equipment, and materials, remove bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and VSM, partnering with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Manufacturing or Production Manager roles.
• Experience leading production teams and people managers in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
• Experience applying Lean tools such as VSM, 5S, Kaizen, and TPS principles.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Procurement, Warehouse, and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee daily production activities to meet schedules and delivery commitments.
• Lead and develop supervisors and operators, setting clear objectives and promoting accountability.
• Optimize labor, equipment, materials, and capacity through line balancing and planning.
• Identify bottlenecks, downtime, scrap, and waste to boost productivity and efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement via Lean, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, VSM, and structured problem-solving.
• Partner with Quality to ensure conformance to specs and standards.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce defects and rework.
• Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with safety/environmental requirements.
• Identify training needs and develop high-potential talent within production.
• Collaborate with Planning, Procurement, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Supply Chain to meet production needs.
• Support new product introductions, capacity increases, and process changes.
• Establish and monitor production KPIs and communicate risks to production, quality, and cost.
