Nokia is seeking an NI Optical Customer Engineer to design, integrate, migrate, upgrade, and optimize complex SWDM, ROADM, OTN, and IP/Optical networks. You’ll work within the Network Infrastructure Customer Engineering team and cross-train in IP and fixed networking projects, while upskilling with AI automation tools to enhance workflows.

Responsibilities include designing architectures, performing migrations, testing, and customer support, with opportunities for training and collaboration

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Telecommunication.
• Nokia NRSII certification, Cisco CCIE, and/or Juniper JNCIE or equivalent preferred.
• Expertise in DWDM and CWDM technologies, ROADM architectures, OTN transport networks, and data center interconnects.
• Exposure to IP/MPLS fundamentals; scripting in Python, Bash, XML, or RESTful protocols.
• Nokia products hands-on experience is preferred; multi-vendor OSS integration experience.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments, Kubernetes and Docker, and cloud platforms (OpenShift, AWS, GCP).
• Proficient English communication; strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel and adapt to customer needs; proactive, results-oriented mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and optimize network architectures and service designs to meet customer requirements.
• Deliver network integration, migration, and upgrade services for network elements and management solutions.
• Conduct comprehensive testing, validation, and troubleshooting across deployment stages.
• Audit networks against requirements and provide optimization recommendations for performance, scalability, and security.
• Serve as a primary technical contact for customers and deliver expert guidance on operations.
