Nokia NI IP Customer Engineer provides professional services for design, integration, migration, upgrade and optimization of complex IP networks and mission-critical network management solutions. Formación

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/Telecom with 5+ years in telecom equipment design and integration.
• Certifications such as Nokia NRSII, CCIE or JNCIE preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IP routing, MPLS, VPNs, QoS and related tech.
• Experience with testing tools (Spirent/IXIA/Iperf/JDSU).
• Hands-on with Nokia products and multivendor OSS integration.

Job Description

Nokia NI IP Customer Engineer provides professional services for design, integration, migration, upgrade and optimization of complex IP networks and mission-critical network management solutions. While the initial projects will be IP Networking related, as part of the Network Infrastructure Customer Engineering team, the NI Customer Engineers will have the opportunity to cross-train and work on Optical Networking and Fixed Networking technology projects. As a Customer Engineer, you will be expected to and will have the opportunity to continuously upskill on emerging AI automation tools, building and utilizing AI agents to innovate workflows and accelerate productivity.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

• Works typically in several technology areas with intermediate to advanced skill level or with one technology area at an advanced skill level.
• Creates implementation plan and technical infrastructure documents.
• Knows and works according to the Systems Integration (SI) delivery process.
• Creates test strategy and test cases.
• Contributes to gathering customer requirements, analysis, feature specification and requirement feasibility study.
• Contributes to migration procedures.
• Contributes to knowledge documentation in various tools like Sharepoint, ShareInside, Yammer, ShareNet, discussion forums.
• Works autonomously and effectively in a mixed environment and uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
• Has in-depth business knowledge and uses understanding of how relevant areas integrate to achieve objectives.
• Uses advanced analytical skills to solve complex problems or problems that do not have routine solutions and takes a new perspective.
• Shares initial ideas for professional direction of own organisational unit.
• Acts as a professional advisor and mentor for staff / workteam / taskforces.
• May lead projects with manageable risks and resource requirements or small teams, handles day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work.

Key Skills And Experience

• Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunication, with a minimum five years of experience a telecom communications equipment vendor or service provider in designing, integrating, monitoring, and troubleshooting optics networks.
• Nokia NRSII certification, Nokia SRA, Cisco CCIE, and/or Juniper JNCIE or equivalent certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge in IP routing protocols such as IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, Segment Routing (SR) and MPLS protocols using LDP or RSVP, and L2/L3 VPNs over MPLS/SR, QoS implementation/testing.
• Experience in testing tools like Spirent, IXIA, Iperf, and JDSU.
• Nokia products experience (7750SR, 7250 IXR, 7705SAR, 7210 SAS and NSP).
• Knowledge of Network Management & API concepts and protocols such as NETCONF, YANG, OpenFlow, SNMP, REST, XMPP, JMS.
• Good Knowledge of IP Networking, Routing, Services Topology: IPv4 and IPv6, BGP, LDP, ISIS, OSPF, MPLS, VPLS, VPRN, IP VPN, QoS, Security.
• Exposure to IP/MPLS fundamentals. Scripting experience (Python, C, Bash, Shell, XML, Perl, Javascript, HTTP/s, SOAP, RESTful protocols).
• Nokia products hands‑on experience is preferred
• Multi-vendor OSS integration experience and understanding of network management systems and performance monitoring tools.
• Using AI tools like copilot, Cursor etc.,
• Strong skills with Linux/Unix, Solaris, Red Hat, CentOS., hypervisor technology (KVM, ESXi) and g ood In-depth knowledge on Kubernetes and Docker / container
• Working knowledge on various public/private cloud environments like OpenShift, AWS, GCP.
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Energetic, results-oriented, inventive, and eager to learn with a "Make it happen" attitude.
• Flexible to work as per customer and project needs
