Job summary

Cadencia is seeking skilled bookkeepers to join our team to support nonprofit clients with U.S.-rules-compliant bookkeeping and reporting. The ideal candidate has 1+ year U.S.

nonprofit accounting exposure, fluency in English, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with the team. Responsibilities include maintaining records, ensuring tax compliance for F990 entities, and reconciling accounts while using QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) and MS Office 365.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in a public accounting firm.
• At least one year of exposure with U.S. CPA firm working with U.S. based nonprofit entities.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. bookkeeping and tax requirements as related to F990 entities.
• Familiarity with fund accounting concepts.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop & Online, MS Office 365, and MS Teams.
• High level of English proficiency (written and spoken).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to comprehend and address client requests and questions.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform bookkeeping functions following U.S. rules.
• Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and statements for nonprofit organizations.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Reconcile bank statements and oversee accounts payable/receivable and donation platforms.
• Utilize accounting software and maintain accurate records with QuickBooks Online/Desktop.
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimize financial operations.
• Communicate with clients to ensure timely receipt of information.
