Job summary

MainStreet in Mexico City seeks a detail-oriented bookkeeping and client-support specialist. You will accurately categorize transactions, reconcile accounts, and perform monthly reviews to keep client books clean and current.

As the primary contact for US-based clients, you will communicate clearly via chat, email, and phone, building strong relationships. You will collaborate with Bench App, Salesforce, and Slack to deliver seamless service.

Qualifications

• Active QuickBooks Online Certification required.
• 1+ year of bookkeeping, auditing, or tax preparation.
• 1+ year of customer-facing experience, ideally supporting U.S.-based clients.
• Excellent spoken and written English proficiency.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Accurately categorize transactions, reconcile accounts, and maintain clean ledgers.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies with care and attention to detail.
• Conduct monthly financial reviews to ensure books are accurate and up to date.
• Serve as the main point of contact for your clients—small business owners who rely on your guidance.
• Provide empathetic, professional communication across chat, email, and phone.
• Explain financial information clearly to help clients understand.
