Mars is seeking a payroll specialist to ensure accurate weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing in Mexico, with strict adherence to local labor, tax, and social security rules and to internal governance controls.

You will review inputs such as hires, terminations, leaves, bonuses, and overtime; perform complex calculations (Christmas bonus, vacation premium, PTU); ensure IMSS/INFONAVIT compliance, ISR/ISN filings, and support audits, while driving automation, standardization, and quality service

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• +3 years of payroll processing experience in Mexico.
• Experience handling payroll for 1,000 employees.
• Experience with payroll systems (SAP, Workday, Workforce).

Responsabilidades

• Manage accurate weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing.
• Execute special payroll calculations, including Christmas bonus, vacation premium, and PTU.
• Validate payroll inputs, including hires, terminations, salary changes, leaves, bonuses, commissions, and overtime.
• Calculate and approve severance and termination settlements in compliance with Mexican Labor Law.
• Ensure IMSS and INFONAVIT compliance, including contributions, reconciliations, employee movements, and reporting.
• Manage ISR and ISN tax obligations, including calculations, reconciliations, filings, and payments.
• Execute internal controls (ICE) and support internal, external, and government audits.
• Manage payroll accounting, reconciliations, accruals, variance analysis, and closing activities.
• Provide timely and high-quality employee support for payroll-related inquiries, payments, deductions, and pay slips.
• Drive process improvement, automation, standardization, and documentation to reduce manual work, errors, and rework.
