Mars México is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing for ~1,000 employees, ensuring compliance with Mexican labor, tax, and social security regulations. You will validate inputs, manage severance, and coordinate tax filings, while driving process improvement and automation.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field
• 3+ years of payroll processing experience in Mexico
• Experience handling payroll for 1,000 employees
• Experience with payroll systems (SAP, Workday, Workforce)

Responsabilidades

• Manage accurate weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing
• Execute special payroll calculations, including Christmas bonus, vacation premium, and PTU
• Validate all payroll inputs, including hires, terminations, salary changes, leaves, bonuses, commissions, and overtime
• Calculate and approve severance and termination settlements in compliance with Mexican Labor Law
• Ensure IMSS and INFONAVIT compliance, including contributions, reconciliations, employee movements, and reporting
• Manage ISR and ISN tax obligations, including calculations, reconciliations, filings, and payments
• Execute internal controls (ICE) and support audits
• Manage payroll accounting, reconciliations, accruals, variance analysis, and closing activities
• Provide timely and high-quality employee support for payroll-related inquiries, payments, deductions, and pay slips
• Drive process improvement, automation, standardization, and documentation to reduce manual work, errors, and rework

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• + 3 years of payroll processing experience in Mexico.
• Experience handling payroll for 1,000 employees.
• Experience with payroll systems (preferably SAP, Workday, Workforce).
