Job summary

Hussmann in Mexico oversees HR leadership for multiple Manufacturing Units, partnering with BU Managers and Operations leaders to align HR with business objectives. The role drives compliance, performance management, staff development and recruitment for salaried and hourly positions.

The successful candidate will coordinate training, labor relations strategies and plant communication efforts while fostering a fair, diverse workplace and strong unions relationships within the facility.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in manufacturing HR roles.
• Experience in wage and salary, payroll, labor law, employment practices, training & comp.
• Understanding of applicable labor, tax, social security & housing fund laws.
• Must communicate effectively to all levels of the organization.
• HRMS experience preferred.
• Experience with high-volume recruiting.
• Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries, issues or complaints.
• Influencing & negotiating skills.
• Ability to build relationships with the Union.

Responsibilities

• Administer company policies/procedures and design HR practices aligned with business objectives.
• Provide leadership and technical direction to assure HR is a trusted problem solver.
• Manage labor/employee relations and union negotiations strategy and preparation.
• Coordinate and ensure hiring processes for all salaried and hourly positions.
• Guide and direct performance management processes for all employees.
• Develop and coordinate training efforts to meet changing skill or cultural needs of the facility.
• Facilitate plant communications to ensure employees understand goals and integration activities.
