Job summary

Etéreo, Auberge Collection, located on Mexico’s Riviera Maya, seeks an experienced hotel group sales professional to drive group business, build long-term commercial relationships, and convert opportunities into results for the hotel.

You will prospect and develop accounts, respond to leads and RFPs, and coordinate with Sales and Revenue Management to optimize availability, rates, and terms, while traveling domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least five years of experience in hotel group sales.
• Experience selling ultra-luxury hotels or resorts; international destinations preferred.
• Knowledge of group sales across corporate and social markets, meetings, incentives, and events.
• Experience managing leads, RFPs, proposals, contracts, and CRM or sales-tracking systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, organization, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to analyze accounts, market segments, territory, competition, and business opportunities.
• Availability for domestic and international travel, client visits, and attendance at trade shows and sales presentations.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop accounts within the assigned territory, including corporate clients, meeting planners, agencies, destination management companies (DMCs), and relevant organizations.
• Identify new business opportunities and reactivate accounts that have generated business in the past.
• Respond to leads and requests for proposals (RFPs), and prepare proposals, sales agreements, contracts, and other commercial documents.
• Evaluate each opportunity based on dates, group size, rates, and its potential contribution across rooms, banquets, catering, spa, and other revenue streams.
• Coordinate with the Sales and Revenue Management teams on availability, rates, concessions, and commercial terms.
• Keep account and contact information, sales activity, and the pipeline up to date, and prepare weekly reports.
• Organize client presentations, site inspections, sales events, and familiarization trips.
• Share confirmed group details with the operational teams in a timely manner and follow up on client needs.
