Peggy Focheux Duval: Director of Learning & Development, FranceThe Group Sales Manager is responsible for increasing Alila Mayakoba’s share of the luxury group market by developing new accounts, strengthening existing relationships, and converting business currently placed with competing hotels and destinations. This role combines proactive prospecting, strategic account management, deep knowledge of the Mexican market, and the ability to effectively communicate and sell the full value proposition of Alila Mayakoba.
Minimum of five years of progressive hotel group sales experience, preferably with a luxury resort, boutique hotel, or high-end hospitality brand.
Demonstrated success winning group business from competitive hotels or destinations and producing measurable increases in room nights, revenue, ADR, profitability, or market share.
Established relationships with Mexico-based meeting planners, incentive agencies, DMCs, corporate accounts, associations, luxury travel advisors, or other relevant group-business channels.
Strong understanding of how Mexican corporate, incentive, association, and social groups evaluate destinations, hotels, value, service, payment terms, contracting, and event delivery.
Proven commercial judgment, negotiation ability, presentation skills, and disciplined pipeline and forecast management.
Fluent Spanish and English, written and spoken.
Willingness and ability to travel within Mexico and attend client events, trade shows, sales missions, and industry functions.
High proficiency with sales systems; experience with hospitality sales or group-management platforms is preferred.
