TE Connectivity in Hermosillo, Mexico, is seeking an IT Operations Analyst II to analyze, design, and implement IT solutions, provide end-user support, and document procedures.

You will help optimize IT Standard Systems, evaluate new technologies, and ensure security and compliance with TEIS policies while maintaining IT assets. This on-site role requires 2–4 years in IT and a bachelor's degree in a related field.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–4 years of IT-related experience.
  • Knowledge of hardware, software, networking, databases, and operating systems.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) for LATAM.

Responsabilidades

  • Analyze and troubleshoot IT Standard Systems: Identify and resolve technical issues, optimize system performance, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Design and implement IT infrastructure solutions and processes with TEIS towers, ensuring alignment with requirements.
  • Evaluate new technologies for compliance, cost, and benefits.
  • Provide technical support to end users on IT Standard systems and applications, supporting Infrastructure for BIMIT solutions.
  • Communicate technical information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences including executives.
  • Document systems and processes with accurate records of configurations and troubleshooting steps.
  • Support Security initiatives and TEIS Policy (TEC-06-88) audits.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory.

Job Description:

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's IT Operations Analyst II analyzes, designs, and implements solutions to improve IT systems and processes. They will also provide technical support, conduct simulations to resolve problems and document procedures.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Analyze and troubleshoot IT Standard Systems: Identify and resolve technical issues, optimize system performance, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Design and implement solutions: Develop and deploy new or improved IT Infrastructure Solutions and processes along with the other TEIS towers, ensuring they meet organizational requirements.
  • Evaluate new technologies: Research and assess the suitability of new technologies for the organization, considering factors like compliance, compatibility, cost, and benefits.
  • Provide technical support: Offer guidance and assistance to end-users on IT Standard systems and applications. Support Infrastructure needs for BIMIT solutions, based on the BIMIT Framework.
  • Communicate technical information: Clearly and concisely explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences including top executives.
  • Document systems and processes: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Compliance and Security: Support Security team initiatives, comply standard TEIS Policy (TEC-06-88 Global Information Technology Policy) and Support Audits.
  • Asset management: Maintain IT asset inventory
Job Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical expertise: Knowledge of hardware, software, networking, databases, and operating systems.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to identify root causes of problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Communication skills: Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts and engage with users and stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving abilities: Ability to diagnose issues, develop solutions, and implement changes in IT Standard systems and applications.
  • Project management skills: Ability to manage IT projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring in your region or site location.
  • Teamwork and collaboration: Ability to work effectively with other TEIS teams, towers and stakeholders.
  • Languages (Latin America): Fluid in English oral and written.

Education and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. A degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is often preferred, but relevant experience can also be a substitute.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience. Typically, a few years of experience in IT roles, such as technical support, systems administration, or business analysis, is expected for this level.
  • Overall, an IT Analyst II plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of an organization's IT infrastructure, providing technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills to support business needs.
