Job summary

Emerson in Chihuahua, Mexico seeks an experienced inventory professional responsible for optimizing stock levels of tools, parts, chemicals, and indirect materials. You will ensure proper storage, cycle counts, and KPI monitoring while maintaining safe, organized warehouse operations.

The role requires a degree in Engineering, 6+ years of experience, and willingness to travel internationally (USA). Fluent English is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in inventory planning and management.
• Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in English (Intermediate/Advanced) and willingness to travel internationally (USA visa).

Responsibilities

• Determine, analyze, and control optimal inventory levels of tools, spare parts, consumables, chemicals, gases, and indirect materials.
• Ensure proper identification, storage, location, preservation, and availability of all materials under warehouse control.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting, visual controls, audits, and discrepancy investigations; develop visual management and standards for IDM Warehouse areas.
• Develop, analyze, and monitor KPIs related to inventory levels, costs, consumption, accuracy, availability, and shortages; implement corrective actions.
• Supervise and develop personnel, set priorities, allocate resources, promote training, and foster high-performance culture.

Job description

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Determine, analyze, and control optimal inventory levels of tools, spare parts, consumables, chemicals, gases, and other indirect materials, ensuring timely replenishment and material availability through effective planning.
• Ensure the proper identification, storage, location, preservation, and availability of all materials under warehouse control.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting, visual controls, audits, and investigation of discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.Develop and implement visual management systems, organizational standards, and best practices to maintain the IDM Warehouse, chemical storage, and gas storage areas clean, organized, safe, and efficient.
• Develop, analyze, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory levels, inventory costs, consumption, inventory accuracy, material availability, and shortages, implementing corrective actions when required.
• Supervise, develop, and evaluate the performance of personnel under his/her responsibility by establishing priorities, assigning resources, promoting training, and fostering a high-performance and continuous improvement culture.
