Sonoco in Monterrey, Mexico is seeking an entry-level HR Assistant to support recruitment, onboarding, and HR administration. You will help post openings, screen candidates, and coordinate interviews while maintaining confidential employee records and assisting with HR events.
The role requires a high school diploma, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. You will work with the HR team to ensure smooth onboarding, training coordination, and timely responses to
Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial screenings.
Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing new hire paperwork and conducting exit interviews.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
Assist in organizing and coordinating HR events and training sessions.
Prepare and distribute HR-related documents and communications.
Perform general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and managing HR-related correspondence.
Collaborate with other HR team members to support various HR initiatives and projects.
Coordination of on-site training, leading the CSD pillar to ensure compliance with the SPS program
High school diploma or equivalent; additional HR certification or coursework is a plus.
Previous experience in an administrative or HR support role preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
