ARQ is seeking a Licensing Lead to own the global licensing workstream across banking, payments, wealth, and crypto in multiple jurisdictions. You will track active and upcoming licenses, drive deliverables with product, legal, operations, and finance, and ensure ARQ has the permissions to operate and scale.

The role sits at the intersection of regulatory strategy, product, operations, legal, and finance, demanding structure, rigour, and pace in a high-stakes fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in a high-performance environment such as MBB or growth startups.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical ability with structured thinking.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication for senior audiences.
• Proven multi-workstream project management and accountability.
• High learning velocity across legal, regulatory, financial and tech topics.
• Ownership mentality with bias for action and proactive ownership.
• Comfort in fast-moving, high-ambiguity early-stage settings.

Responsibilities

• Drive the global licensing agenda across licenses and jurisdictions to enable operations and growth.
• Own the licensing pipeline, maintaining a single source of truth and tracking milestones.
• Build structured project plans and coordinate with product, legal, finance, and operations.
• Coordinate with external counsel and local advisors to ensure timely deliverables and cost control.
• Translate regulatory requirements into actionable workstreams for cross-functional teams.
• Draft and structure submissions, policy documents, regulatory responses, and internal materials.
• Prepare for regulatory submissions, go-live audits, and ensure readiness across teams.
• Act as bridge between global teams and local licensing leads to remove blockers.
• Design and improve internal systems, templates, and playbooks for licensing.
• Develop frameworks to evaluate new license requirements as markets or products expand.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise leadership proactively.
• Support maintenance and renewal of licenses, ensuring ongoing compliance.
