Clara Lending Co. in Mexico City is seeking a Head of Financial Operations/Controller to lead controllership end-to-end, from monthly close to annual audit, and to modernize how the function operates with AI-driven automation.

Reporting to the CFO, you will work with country controllers, FP&A, Treasury, Legal, and external auditors; the role offers a hybrid setup and a path to scale a best-in-class finance organization across LatAm.

Formación

• 8–10+ years of accounting or controllership experience, including ownership of multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation.
• Startup and fintech experience is a plus with understanding of LatAm regulatory/operational context.
• Proven track record leading annual audits with a Big 4 firm from planning through opinion.
• Deep NetSuite expertise and hands-on capability.
• Demonstrated success deploying AI tools and automation to modernize financial workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business; MBA or CPA is a plus.
• Bilingual proficiency in English as well as Spanish and/or Portuguese is required.

Responsabilidades

• Own the month-end close and consolidation across all entities.
• Lead end-to-end annual financial audit with external auditor and local controller teams.
• Plan audit calendar, resolve technical accounting questions, and manage relationship through to signed opinion.
• Support treasury, regulatory, tax, and other financial requirements with a global perspective.
• Maintain a strong internal controls environment, close checklists, and account reconciliations.
• Build a unified controllership operating model across local teams.
