ABB seeks an experienced engineer to optimize production assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in line with quality, efficiency, cost and safety goals. You will define working phase sequences for new processes to achieve target costs and required equipment investment budgets.

The role is onsite in Tlajomulco de Zuñiga, Jalisco, reporting to Production Engineering Manager, with responsibilities spanning process improvement, design approval, and start-up support.

Formación

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical.
• Minimum 5 years in winding processes for electric motors.
• Experience with automated systems (PLC, pneumatic, hydraulic).
• Knowledge of KPI metrics (OEE, MTTR, MTTF).
• English fluency; Spanish communication skills required.

Your Role: Own the Challenge

In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization’s assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.

The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite. This role is contributing to the MXNEM ABB Nema Motors division in Tlajomulco de Zuñiga, Jalisco.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Identifying and recommending improvement opportunities and implements improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements.
• Approving the design for processes developed internally or externally and performing final tests with respect to the project.
• Providing support to Production during the internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources.
• Evaluating new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices.

Qualifications for the role

• Degree in Industrial Engineering / Mechanical / Electrical, Have a demonstrated track record of 5 years in manufacturers business. Technical careers or not finished with extensive knowledge of +10 years.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in winding process for electric motors (Full automated process preferred).
• Experience on monitoring and maintenance of automated systems(PLC´s, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and electronic elements).
• Analysis and diagnostics for corrective and preventive maintenance.
• Familiarized with KPI´s (OEE, MTTR, MTTF).
• Knowledge on C++. You have worked constantly with SAP or ERP software, Office package and CAD design (Auto CAD or Solid preferred).
• Green belt certification and/or ISO 9001 internal auditor is high valued.
• You are at ease communicating in verbal and writing on Spanish-language.
• English-speaking fluid.
