Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Mexico City is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid grounding in cost management and strong communication skills to work with international clients.

Responsibilities include developing cost plans from concept to detailed design, presenting updates at milestones, reviewing design changes, and providing commercial input for value engineering and risk assessment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 6 years of related experience.
• Experience in construction cost management or estimating roles.
• Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop cost plans and estimates from concept through detailed design.
• Deliver updated cost plans at design milestones.
• Review design changes and prepare estimates within appropriate accuracy levels.
• Understand design stages and estimate levels.
• Provide commercial input to design optioneering and value engineering.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts for the construction lifecycle.
• Analyze labor markets and cost drivers such as unions and tax.
• Support clients with monthly presentations.
• SOX controls may be required.

Turner & Townsendis seeking a Electrical Estimator tojoin our talented team. The ideal individual willbe a good communicator and a team player with a good foundation in cost and estimating.

Responsibilities:

• Developing cost plans and estimates fromconceptthrough detailed design.
• Supporting Clientland acquisitions.
• Delivering and presenting updated cost plans atappropriate designmilestones.
• Reviewing proposed design changes/new technologiesandpreparingestimates withinappropriate accuracylevels.
• Understanding design stages and estimate levels.
• Providing commercial input to design optioneering and input into value engineering exercises.
• Preparing cash commit forecasts for the construction life cycle.
• Working collaboratively with stakeholders in the preparation of estimates/ cost plans.
• Analyzing labor markets and cost drivers such asunions &tax.
• Supporting ourclientswith monthly presentations.
• Benchmarking integration to ensureaccuratedata capture.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Qualifications

• Advanced level of Englishrequired, as the candidate will be working with international Clients.
• Bachelor’s degree inelectrical engineering, cost management, quantity surveying,engineeringor field related to construction.
• Minimum 6years of relevant experience.
• Experience working ina constructioncost management role such as Estimating, Cost Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Cost Controls etc.
• Thrives in a client facing role.
• Experience supporting program level cost management for medium orlarge-scaleconstruction projects.
• Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as value management and value engineering
• Strong communicationskills
