Job summary

Corning is seeking an EH&S Intern in Monterrey to support the 2026 HIRA program, aligning with Hazard Identification methods and facilitating risk assessments.

You will coordinate sessions, help review records, manage action plans in Gensuite, and provide status updates to the EH&S team and management. This role contributes to hazard identification, risk evaluation, preventive controls, and cross-functional visibility of open actions.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing Industrial Engineering, Environmental/Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Genuine interest in EH&S and risk assessment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Environment, Health & Safety activities and initiatives within the assigned site or department.
• Assist with hazard identification, risk assessments, and documentation of preventive controls.
• Coordinate meetings, gather information from different areas, and document agreements and follow-up actions.
• Maintain accurate records, trackers, reports, and supporting documentation.
• Follow up on assigned action items, responsible owners, due dates, and implementation evidence.
• Monitor open and overdue actions and communicate relevant updates to the EH&S team.
• Prepare basic reports and summaries on safety performance, risks, pending activities, and improvement opportunities.
• Support data analysis to identify recurring risks, trends, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and other cross-functional teams.
• Follow company EH&S procedures, confidentiality requirements, and applicable safety standards.
