Job summary

Prologis in Mexico City seeks an ambitious Energy Director to manage a growing portfolio of energy supply and renewable projects across the region.

You will lead project development, financial modelling, and commercial negotiations, collaborating with global energy professionals to deliver 100% renewable energy solutions for Prologis customers and drive sustainability across operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher; MBA or quantitative master's degree required.
• 10+ years of experience in energy project development, markets, trading, power contracts, regulations, renewable development, or generation technologies.
• Strong understanding of electricity markets, tariffs, renewable energy, and environmental commodities.
• Strong quantitative and financial modelling skills.
• Proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Proven commercial negotiation skills.
• Full knowledge of the Mexico energy market and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with utilities, suppliers, planning agencies, and renewable OEMs.
• Knowledge of energy management and decarbonization strategies.
• Demonstrates willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed.

Responsibilities

• Origination and commercial energy efforts across LatAm regions.
• Lead internal and external teams on project development initiatives.
• Oversee financial modelling and coach other team members.
• Drive renewable energy strategy focused on 100% renewable solutions for Prologis customers.
• Build out Qualified Supply to market in collaboration with third party providers.
• Lead the transition of electricity supply to 100% renewable.
• Collaborate with other Prologis teams to strategize and implement opportunities.
• Project manage EPC and related services with third party suppliers.
• Interact with government entities such as CFE, CENACE, etc.
• Track energy regulatory frameworks and assess impacts of changes.
• Provide routine KPI and financial/operating metric reports.
