Job summary

Prologis in Mexico City seeks a VP, Capital Deployment to oversee capital deployment for land acquisitions and logistics product development. You will drive investment strategy, lead origination, underwriting and execution for logistics property deals, and guide growth in the Mexico markets.

The role requires deep experience in development, acquisitions, and entitlements, with a track record of value creation and strong leadership skills. Travel 30%-50% is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ year track record of acquiring and developing commercial real estate with a focus on industrial properties.
• Broad industry experience in acquisitions, entitlements and rezoning process, project management, leasing, and development.
• Strong background in underwriting land acquisitions including value add opportunities with a proven track record of value creation.
• In-depth understanding of development pro forma modeling, general construction process and pricing, redevelopment, environmentally challenged properties, and entitlement processing.
• Background in negotiating PSAs, leases, development agreements and reporting on project performance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with local Market Officer, Leasing and Development teams to drive deal flow by identifying new capital deployment opportunities (green-field land acquisition and development, value-add redevelopments, and support M&A and entity investments).
• Leverage relationships to develop new strategic contacts to generate business opportunities with real estate partners, private sellers, brokers, investment bankers, owners, developers, consultants, and high net-worth individuals.
• Identify and present new investment opportunities to Senior Leadership and Prologis Investment Committee.
• Anticipate and capitalize on market trends to bring industry-leading returns to Prologis.
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of all company assets, strategy, processes and systems.
• Collaborate with Customer Led Development and Data Center teams.
