Job summary

Prologis in Mexico City is seeking an Accounting Director to lead the Mexico accounting organization, ensuring the integrity of financial records and compliance with Mexican GAAP (NIF), IFRS, and US GAAP.

You will oversee all accounting operations across Mexico, drive the close process, strengthen controls, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver timely financial results that support Prologis' growth strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s degree preferred.
• CPA/CPC certification required.
• 10–12+ years of progressive experience leading accounting operations.
• Experience operating in a matrixed or global organization with regulatory complexity.
• Proven leadership experience managing large teams in a global or matrixed organization.
• Strong expertise in NIF, IFRS, and US GAAP.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
• Demonstrated ability to simplify complex concepts, drive decisions, and influence across functions.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own all accounting operations in Mexico, including Property Accounting, AR, AP, Consolidation, Corporate Accounting, and Internal Reporting.
• Maintain integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial records across all entities.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with Prologis policies and local requirements.
• Drive accountability across teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial results.
• Ensure compliance with Mexican GAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP across all accounting activities.
• Lead audit readiness and proactively manage the resolution of audit issues.
• Lead and develop a large, high-performing team and foster a culture of ownership and collaboration.
• Partner with Finance, Tax, Treasury, Asset Management, and Operations to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of financial results.
