Job summary

One&Only Mandarina, on Mexico’s Pacific coast, seeks a seasoned Manager, Groups Sales, Celebrations & Weddings to lead international wedding and incentive group sales and to craft profitable catering opportunities. You will proactively solicit, negotiate, and secure group business while aligning with revenue goals and the resort’s ultra-luxury positioning.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in group sales management is mandatory.
• Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.
• College education preferred.
• Strong selling and interpersonal skills.
• Supervision and overall responsibility of the groups function and communications.
• Adapt to group systems and catering management tools.
• Ability to achieve yearly sales booking goals.
• Interpret group ceilings in Delphi or Opera sales and catering with hotel policies.
• Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Solicit and secure wedding and incentive group business in international markets.
• Develop customized proposals reflecting guest journey and expectations of international clients.
• Negotiate group rates, concessions, and value-added offerings with Revenue Management.
• Maximize hotel revenue through upselling of rooms, F&B events, venues, spa and experiences.
• Coordinate with Events, Catering, Conference Services, Finance and Operations for flawless execution.
• Travel for international sales trips, tradeshows and site inspections.
