Job summary

Schneider Electric in Mexico is seeking a Digital Control Systems Tender Engineer to define DCS/PLC architecture for complex industrial automation tenders. You will collaborate with sales and engineering to develop technically sound bids and assess risks during the bid phase.

You will review control system requirements, lead technical proposals, and ensure compliance with customer specs and industry standards, with English-language interaction for US customers.

Qualifications

• Experience with DCS and PLC systems in industrial automation environments.
• Ability to interpret customer specifications and convert requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience supporting tendering, proposals or front-end engineering activities.
• Strong understanding of control system design and architecture development.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical solutions for opportunities involving DCS, PLC, SCADA and industrial automation platforms.
• Lead technical reviews of control system architectures to ensure compliance with specs and standards.
• Prepare technical proposals, estimate engineering effort, select hardware/software, and define execution strategies.
• Collaborate with sales, proposal and engineering teams to produce competitive bids.
• Translate customer requirements into robust automation designs and assess risks.
• Identify deviations and propose mitigation plans during the bid phase.
• Provide technical expertise for US market discussions in English.
