Ruhlamat Group in Mexico is seeking an experienced Automation & Controls Engineer to join our overseas team on-site in Monterrey. You will lead on-site technical support, project execution and customer technical communication for customized automotive automation lines, ensuring stable operation, on-time delivery and lasting customer partnerships.

• Fluent in English for technical docking, negotiation and daily communication.

Responsabilidades

• On-site Technical Support & Commissioning: full-cycle PLC design, programming, commissioning and optimization for non-standard automotive lines in Mexico.
• Customer Technical Liaison: end-to-end technical communication with local clients, ensure requirements and project progress.
• On-site Project Coordination: lead on-site construction and commissioning, coordinate with China HQ and local teams.
• Internal Communication & Optimization: report project status and feed optimization ideas to the domestic team.
• Value-added Business Support: assist with pre-sales, quotation and technical negotiations.

We are seeking an experienced Automation & Controls Engineer to join our overseas team and serve our key automotive customers on-site in Mexico. In this role, you will take charge of on-site technical support, project execution, and customer technical communication for customized automotive parts automation production lines, ensuring stable equipment operation, smooth project delivery, and long-term customer partnership growth.

Key Responsibilities

• On-site Technical Support & Commissioning Independently complete full-cycle PLC electrical design, programming, commissioning and optimization for non-standard automotive parts automated production lines in Mexico. Respond to and resolve on-site technical faults and emergencies efficiently to guarantee continuous and stable production.
• Customer Technical Liaison Engage in end-to-end technical communication with local Mexican clients, including requirement confirmation, technical solution explanation, on-site issue follow-up, and project progress synchronization. Maintain high customer satisfaction and proactively identify potential incremental projects and quotation demands.
• On-site Project Coordination Act as the on-site technical lead and part-time project manager, develop short-term on-site construction and commissioning schedules, coordinate cross-team collaboration between China headquarters and local on-site teams, and drive timely and standard project acceptance and delivery.
• Internal Communication & Optimization Regularly synchronize on-site project status, equipment operation conditions and customer feedback to the domestic team. Provide practical optimization suggestions for production line technology and processes based on on-site operational experience.
• Value-added Business Support (Optional) Leverage solid customer relationships and on-site technical insights to capture pre-sales opportunities in advance, support quotation and technical negotiation, and positively influence customer supplier selection and project decisions.

Job Requirements

• Educational Background Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation or related technical majors.
• Professional Experience Minimum 5 years of working experience as an Automation & Controls Engineer, with solid experience in automotive industry non-standard automation equipment projects. Capable of independently delivering full-process technical work for on-site projects. Candidates with on-site project experience in Mexico are strongly preferred.
• Core Technical Skills
  • Proficient in Siemens PLC mainstream platforms, skilled in TIA Portal and remote debugging tools;
  • Expert in PLC programming and electrical control system design, with a good grasp of industrial communication protocols;
  • Familiar with automotive parts production processes, capable of troubleshooting and optimizing production lines from a holistic system perspective.
• Language Competency Fluent infull-scenario English communication (oral & written), able to independently handle all technical docking, customer negotiation and daily business communication.
• Personal Competencies Proactive, responsible and solution-oriented with strong on-site problem-solving and emergency response capabilities. Possess excellent cross-cultural communication and team collaboration skills, and be willing to work and reside long-term in Mexico. Proficient in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and other office tools for daily work and project documentation.
