Job summary

Locad is seeking an on-site HR Manager in Tijuana to own day-to-day HR and labor compliance for the Mexico warehouse team as it joins Locad. You will be the primary HR contact for employees and site leadership, and the link between the local team and Locad's global People & Culture function.

The role requires hands-on management across Spanish and English in a fast-moving fulfillment environment, with responsibilities spanning onboarding, payroll coordination, compliance, and employee engagement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HR generalist or HR management experience, ideally in warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or operations-heavy environments in Mexico.
• Strong working knowledge of Mexican labor law and compliance.
• Hands-on experience with weekly payroll coordination and attendance systems.
• Experience handling employee relations, investigations, and terminations.
• Fluent Spanish and professional-level English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers on HR questions, concerns, and workplace issues.
• Handle onboarding, offboarding, contracts, and employee records for the Tijuana team.
• Manage attendance, leave, and time-off administration in line with local practice and Locad's global leave policy.
• Support disciplinary processes, investigations, and terminations with proper documentation.
• Coordinate weekly payroll inputs and validation with the existing payroll provider and attendance system.
• Track statutory benefits and obligations and coordinate with local legal counsel as needed.
• Promote workplace safety practices and coordinate with site leadership on incident follow-up.
• Run basic employee engagement and communication on site.
