Responsibilities

• Serve as the operational owner of the Control-M scheduling platform.
• Monitor end-to-end batch processing across systems and dependencies.
• Document critical batch cycles, triggers, and downstream impacts.
• Map and improve batch-driven transaction flows and handoffs.
• Develop monitoring capabilities including health checks, alerts, and dashboards.
• Troubleshoot batch failures and performance bottlenecks with cross-team collaboration.
• Perform root-cause analysis and support incident resolution.
• Maintain technical documentation and scheduling dependencies.
• Identify failure points and implement proactive reliability controls.

Job description

TCS is seeking a Batch Monitoring Expert to manage the end-to-end operational integrity of enterprise batch-processing environments, ensuring that critical business and system processes execute reliably, on schedule, and with clear visibility into dependencies and outcomes.

The Batch Monitoring Expert will collaborate with application, database, integration, and infrastructure teams to manage workload scheduling, monitor batch-processing flows, resolve execution failures, strengthen observability, and reduce operational risk across complex enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the operational owner of the Control-M scheduling platform, ensuring that batch jobs, workflows, and dependencies execute as designed.
• Monitor and validate end-to-end batch processing across Control-M, cron jobs, scripts, scheduled services, and application-level schedulers.
• Document critical batch cycles, processing windows, triggers, dependencies, and downstream impacts.
• Map and continuously improve batch-driven transaction flows and operational handoffs.
• Develop and enhance monitoring and observability capabilities, including job-health monitoring, failure detection, dependency tracking, alerting, and operational dashboards.
• Collaborate with application, database, integration, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot batch failures and performance bottlenecks.
• Analyze stored procedures, application services, integrations, scripts, and supporting technical components to identify processing behavior and operational risks.
• Perform root-cause analysis and support the timely resolution of batch-processing incidents.
• Maintain technical documentation, process maps, operational procedures, and scheduling dependencies.
• Identify potential points of failure and implement proactive controls to improve batch reliability and operational stability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise batch-processing, job-scheduling, or workload-automation environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with workload automation and scheduling platforms (preferably Control-M).
• Experience monitoring and troubleshooting batch jobs, workflows, scripts, cron jobs, and system dependencies.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Availability for full-time employment.
