Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience with mainframe development and batch processing.
• Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
• Experience with IBM CICS and Control-M.
• Familiar with Endeavor as a version control system and TWS for batch scheduling.
• Agile experience including Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Confluence, and SAFe.
• Interest in the financial/banking sector.

Responsibilities

• Mainframe programming and development: design, code, and maintain applications in a mainframe environment.
• Develop and optimize Batch processes and data file management.
• Use Endeavor, TWS, and other schedulers for process programming and control.
• Implement online programming for transactions and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the programming, development, and maintenance of regulatory processes within the payments area of a Financial Institution and optimizing Batch processes.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the programming, development, and maintenance of regulatory processes within the payments area of a Financial Institution and optimizing Batch processes.

Project Responsibilities And Activities

• Mainframe Programming and Development: Design, develop, and maintain applications and systems in a Mainframe environment, ensuring code quality and efficiency.
• Batch Processes and File Management: Develop and manage complex Batch processes, including data file administration and optimization.
• Version Control and Schedulers: Utilize version control tools like Endeavor and schedulers like TWS for process programming and management.
• Online Programming: Apply knowledge of online programming for the development of transactions and services.
• Collaboration and Communication: Actively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, maintaining fluid communication.
• Problem Solving: Identify and efficiently and proactively resolve complex technical issues.

Mandatory Technologies And Skills

• Demonstrable experience with DB2.
• Proficiency in JCL.
• Extensive experience in Mainframe Development.
• Practical knowledge and experience in Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Confluence, SAFe).
• Mastery of COBOL Systems.

• Experience with Control-M.
• Proficiency in Endeavor as a version control system.
• Experience with the TWS tool for Batch process programming.
