Job summary

SEGULA Technologies in Mexico City / Toluca area is seeking a Base Engine Design and Release Engineer to lead end-to-end design, development, integration, validation, and release of base engine components. You will own parts from concept through prototype builds and launch, coordinating with Powertrain, Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Tier 1 suppliers.

The role requires hands-on experience with GD&T, CAD (NX/CATIA), DFMEA/DVP&R, and PLM/BOM systems, plus bilingual English/Spanish

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or related field.
• At least 3 years as Design and Release Engineer in base engine components.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, DVP&R.
• Proficiency with CAD/PLM tools (NX/Teamcenter or Enovia/CATIA).
• Strong English and Spanish communication.

Responsibilities

• Own component lifetime management for base engine hardware.
• Manage BOM creation, changes, and part releases in PLM.
• Apply GD&T and perform stack-up analyses with CAD tools.
• Lead design reviews with Tier 1 suppliers and internal teams.
• Support engine and vehicle builds through launch and post-launch.
• Drive VAVE initiatives to reduce weight and cost.
