Job summary

SEGULA Technologies in Mexico is seeking Design Release Engineers (DRE) to lead design, validation and release of next‑gen automotive systems across BIW, interior, powertrain, and E/E domains. The role is remote-first within Mexico with on-site presence at launch milestones.

You will own end-to-end engineering, manage BOMs in PLM (Teamcenter/Enovia/Windchill), coordinate with suppliers, run DVP&R, and ensure quality while supporting on-site launches and tooling sign-offs. Travel 20–35% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Automotive Engineering or related discipline.
• Junior: 1-3 years in automotive product development; Mid: 3-5 years in DRE ownership; Senior: 5+ years leading full lifecycle releases.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product engineering and release (concept to SOP/PPAP) for components and assemblies.
• Set technical specs, clearances, and performance targets; perform stack-up analyses for NVH, durability, weight, and production constraints.
• Direct Tier-1/Tier-2 suppliers through CAD reviews, DFM/DFA feedback, tooling timelines, prototypes, and PPAP sign-offs.
• Author, track, and execute DVP&R; oversee bench testing, environmental tests, and vehicle-level validation.
• Provide on-site plant and launch support to resolve fit, packaging clearances, or assembly torque issues.
• Drive robust root-cause investigations (DFMEA, 8D, 5-Whys, Fishbone) for non-conformances and supplier issues.
