Job summary

Capgemini Mexico is seeking a Design & Release Engineer to lead the design, development, integration, validation, and release of automotive systems and components. You will define requirements, collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams, and manage documentation and risk assessments.

The role emphasizes innovation, problem-solving, and adherence to standards, manufacturing requirements, and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 1–2 years in automotive product design, development, validation, and release.
• Knowledge of CAD tools (NX, CATIA), Teamcenter, DFMEA, DVP&R, GD&T, FEA, Six Sigma.
• Understanding of automotive electrical/electronic systems and vehicle architectures.
• Excellent communication and advanced English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, integration, validation, and release of automotive systems and components.
• Define technical requirements and develop solutions that meet performance, quality, cost, and timing objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Manage engineering documentation, risk assessments, validation activities, and design changes.
• Drive innovation, problem-solving, continuous improvement, and product launch support.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, manufacturing requirements, and customer expectations.
