SEGULA Technologies in Mexico City is seeking a Design Release Engineer for powertrain brackets. You will own end-to-end design, packaging, validation, and production release, acting as the technical authority for bracket families.

You will collaborate with suppliers and plants to ensure on-time delivery, manage ECNs, and drive VA/VE to minimize weight and cost while ensuring vibration and fatigue performance.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/automotive engineering or mechatronics.
• Minimum 3+ years in automotive DRE or product engineer role focusing on structural components.
• Strong understanding of mechanics of materials and fatigue prevention.
• Solid knowledge of stamping, die casting, and sheet metal fabrication.
• Experience with BOM management and engineering release tracking systems.
• Advanced English communication in global teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design, packaging, clearance, and release of powertrain brackets from concept to production.
• Manage Engineering Change Management process and maintain BOM data.
• Perform 3D DMU reviews and complex packaging studies for engine bay clearance.
• Oversee Tier 1 suppliers and track design maturity and timing with vehicle builds.
• Define and approve DVPRs for fatigue, stiffness and vibration testing.
• Drive cost reduction and weight optimization initiatives (VA/VE).
• Prepare reports and presentations for engineering reviews.
• Collaborate with assembly plants to troubleshoot bracket issues and containment actions.
