Job summary

Justworks is seeking a Payroll Operations Specialist - APAC to manage day-to-day payroll activities across the Asia-Pacific region, liaising with clients and regional payroll providers to ensure precise pay and local compliance.

The base salary range for this position, based in our Mexico City office, is MXN 55,000-67,000 per month. This role offers a hybrid work model, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and opportunities to improve payroll processes across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in finance, HR, global payments, or payroll-related role; bachelor’s preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and ability to analyze large datasets to detect anomalies.
• Familiarity with process mapping, improvement, and automation to enhance workflows.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day payroll operations for Justworks across APAC, including data entry and corrections.
• Coordinate local payroll vendors to ensure timely remittances and compliance with local laws and practices.
• Oversee employee enrollment and local employment agreements, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution.
• Monitor payroll disbursements and triage payroll-related tickets; resolve issues with stubs and local forms.
• Perform monthly reconciliations with payroll, benefits, and finance teams to identify variances.
• Maintain payroll resources, country playbooks, and documentation to reflect evolving compliance.
• Identify bottlenecks and suggest simple process improvements or automation to drive scalability.
• Audit employee data for compliance across APAC jurisdictions.
