Job description
  • Contract Role - 12 months
  • Position Summary
  • The Italy Sales Director will help secure new business through their professional network, lead generation, inside sales and attending sales events for Daon’s products in Italy. The individual will be responsible for ensuring maximum revenue growth through acquisition of new customers, direct and indirect, and growth in our existing customer portfolio. Key target buyers are Head of Digital Transformation, Head of Digital Channels, Head of Innovation, Chief Product Officers, Chief Information Security Officers, Chief Technology Officers, Heads of Digital Businesses among others. Vertical markets include Financial Services, Wealth Management, Fintech, Insurance, Telecom, Public Sector, Healthcare, Gaming and eCommerce.

    • Key Responsibilities
    • Lead generation prospecting and pipeline development through a combination of networking, cold calling, opportunity pursuit, market knowledge / intelligence and market development campaigns.
    • Managing Lead Generation personnel and function coming from marketing.
    • Create, maintain and monitor a business development pipeline within the designated market sector(s).
    • Developing relationships with key people where possible in End Customers, System Integrators and Technology Partners.
    • Working closely with Sales, Pre-Sales and other strategic contributors to devise and execute sales strategies.
    • Working hand in hand with key sales team members to support their requirements and continuing involvement to ensure successful closure.
    • Taking select prospects as far as possible in the sales process to help close.
    • Assisting with trade show support and other sales marketing tasks as necessary.
    • There may be an opportunity to progress from sales support to direct sales over time if interested.
    • Position Requirements
    • Experience & Qualifications
    • Background in at least one of customer identity and access management / strong customer authentication / identity verification / digital onboarding / biometric authentication / digital payment / digital security required.
    • Must have demonstrated and relevant experience in a similar position.
    • Sales training including Consultative / Solutions selling
    • Background in sales and business development within enterprise security.
    • Demonstrable success in business development in Fortune 500 (required).
    • Appreciation of financial services market including demand, drivers and the role of influencers is advantageous.
    • Desire to interact with customers and progress to a sales executive over time
    • Person Specification
    • Well-rounded individual who can drive / support sales process from cold calling to lead generation, qualify opportunities and close sales cycle, tracking and managing sales pipeline, management reporting and execution.
    • Highly committed, energetic and determined mentality.
    • Solid understanding of corporate infrastructures and personnel duties.
    • Adapt at exploring and referring new vertical market opportunities to the company.
    • Strong in development of presentation materials.
    • Comfortable participating at conferences, marketing events and customer forums.
    • Languages :
    • Italian : native language
    • English : fluent
    • Additional Requirements
    • Some travel Italy and Ireland as required (travel less than 20% time)
    • Proficiency with Data Entry a requirement with a particular focus in Excel and database systems.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products required.
