Job summary

Hiab in Italy (Emilia-Romagna) is seeking a Warranty Claims Specialist to manage claims for heavy cranes. You will assess, process and execute warranty actions while ensuring compliance with global policies. The role involves data monitoring, cost analysis and collaboration with quality teams to prevent recurring issues. A hybrid schedule and substantial leave are offered.

Qualifications

• Background in quality engineering, technical support, warranty handling or hands-on factory floor service with heavy machinery.
• Strong practical understanding of mechanical and hydraulic product architecture.
• High digital literacy with ability to quickly master ERP and warranty systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess, process and execute warranty claims for heavy and super heavy cranes in full compliance with global policies and SOPs.
• Monitor claims data and warranty costs to identify recurring technical issues and provide structured feedback to quality teams.
• Track, investigate and follow up on complex, high-value or overdue claims, escalating critical cases when necessary.
• Support parts return logistics, supplier recovery actions and service letter execution.
• Provide operational warranty guidance and training to system users and participate in continuous improvement and Lean projects.

key responsibilities

• assess, process and execute warranty claims for heavy and super heavy cranes in full compliance with global policies and sops.
• monitor claims data and warranty costs to identify recurring technical issues and provide structured feedback to quality teams.
• track, investigate and follow up on complex, high‑value or overdue claims, escalating critical cases when necessary.
• support parts return logistics, supplier recovery actions and service letter execution.
• provide operational warranty guidance and training to system users and participate in continuous improvement and lean projects.

• full professional proficiency in written and spoken english; knowledge of spanish or italian is a distinct advantage.
