Job summary

Lely is seeking a Technical Service Support specialist for Milking to act as the technical expert for our Lely Centers in Italy. You will provide second-line technical support, deliver training, and assist with installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of milking robots and herd management software.

You will travel for training and international projects. You will join an international team of ~40 colleagues based in Colturano (Milano), supporting dairy farms across Italy and nearby

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in a technical service or engineering role, or a Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• Understand electrical principles and troubleshooting.
• Fluent English (speaking and writing).
• Experience with hardware and software technologies.
• Familiar with digital tools and diagnostic applications.
• Basic programming knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of agriculture or dairy farming is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-line technical support to Lely Center technicians via phone, remote support and ticket management.
• Deliver technical training courses and hands-on workshops for Lely Center technicians.
• Support installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of Lely milking robots and herd management software.
• Visit farms for technical audits, validate solutions in the field and assist during critical interventions.
• Test and validate new products and features, provide feedback to improve solutions.
• Share knowledge and best practices across the Lely Center network.
• Participate in the hotline (24/7) monthly to provide field support.
• Occasionally travel to the Lely Campus in the Netherlands or other clusters for training and international projects.

As a Technical Service Support forMilking, you will be the technical expert for ourautomatic milking robots. Your role is to support our Lely Centers in delivering excellent technical service, developing their expertise and ensuring our solutions perform at their best. By working closely with technicians, customers and Lely International, you will also contribute to the continuous improvement of our products and services.

What will you do?

• Provide second-line technical support to Lely Center technicians by resolving complex technical issues through phone, remote support and ticket management.
• Deliver technical training courses and hands-on workshops to help Lely Center technicians develop their knowledge and skills.
• Support the installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of Lely milking robots and herd management software when additional technical expertise is required.
• Visit farms to perform technical audits, validate solutions in the field and support technicians during critical interventions.
• Test and validate new products, features and technical solutions, providing structured feedback to Lely International to support continuous improvement.
• Share technical knowledge and best practices across the network of Lely Centers.
• You monthly participate in the hotline (24/7), providing technical support to the field technicians.
• Occasionally travel to the Lely Campus in the Netherlands or to other Clusters for training, meetings and international projects.

We would like you to apply if you

• Hold aTechnical Diplomain Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, Computer Science or a related field, with at least 2–3 years of experience in a technical service or engineering role,orhold a Bachelor's degreein a relevant technical discipline where prior work experience is not required.
• Have a good understanding of electrical principles and troubleshooting.
• Speak and write fluent English.
• Enjoy working with both hardware and software technologies.
• Are familiar with digital tools and diagnostic applications.
• Basic knowledge of a programming languageis considered a plus.
• Knowledge of the agricultural sector or dairy farming is an advantage, but not essential.
