Job summary

The Institute for Study Abroad (IFSA) in Rome, Italy, seeks a Student Experience Coordinator to support undergraduate study abroad students with academic and intercultural experiences. You will organize co-curricular activities, assist staff across Europe, and contribute to overall program operations on-site in Rome.

Responsibilities include coordinating events, webinars, budgeting, student welfare checks, and collaboration with local and international teams to deliver high-impact experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in higher education, tourism, event planning, or hospitality preferred.
• Strong time management and planning skills for independent, time-sensitive tasks.
• Proficiency in Italian and English for on-site duties in both languages.
• Strong attention to detail in creating documents and managing data.
• Ability to work with multiple systems and our database platform (Salesforce).

Responsibilities

• Support orientation, excursions, and events, focusing on custom programs planning, delivery, and follow-up.
• Assist staff and faculty with planning and delivery of co- and extra-curricular activities.
• Prepare and present pre-arrival student webinars.
• Coordinate program arrivals and welfare check-ins.
• Support budgeting for programs and assist with evaluations for continuous improvement.
• Draft communications for students and university partners and manage social media posts.
