Alpitronic Americas LLC in Bolzano, Italy, seeks a software engineer to develop and integrate payment-related software for embedded Linux systems. You will adapt solutions to customer needs, write tests, and ensure performance and scalability.

The role requires strong C++, OOP, multithreading and RESTful API experience, plus fluency in English and Italian, with occasional German considered a plus. The team offers a dynamic, high-tech environment and opportunities for growth.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Integration of new payment solutions
• Adapting existing payment solutions to customer requirements
• Troubleshooting issues related to payment solutions
• Write clean, efficient and well-documented code that is easily testable, maintainable and reusable
• Write tests to maintain code quality and prevent regressions
• Optimise applications for maximum performance and scalability
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to improve applications and user experience
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in software development

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
• Previous working experience in software development and solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming (OOP), multithreading, memory management, debugging, and performance optimization
• Experienced in C++, development for embedded Linux systems, SQL-DBs, e.g. MySQL/SQLite
• Solid knowledge of payment solutions
• Good knowledge of RESTful APIs, TCP/IP networks and communication protocols
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
• Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines is a plus
• Independent and solution-oriented working attitude as well as analytical thinking
• Enthusiasm, good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Fluent in English, Italian and/or German are a plus

The compensation range provided is based on the current scope and location of the role. Should the position's responsibilities, seniority level, or location differ during the recruitment process, the applicable compensation range may be adjusted accordingly, in line with local market conditions and internal compensation frameworks.
