Alpitronic Americas LLC is seeking a software engineer to integrate and adapt payment solutions for customers. You will develop in C++ on embedded Linux, ensure performance, and write tests to protect quality.

The role requires strong problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and effective communication in English, with Italian/German as a plus. The position emphasizes ongoing learning, code reviews, and contributing to a high-tech e-mobility environment in Trentino region.

Competenze

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, OOP, multithreading, memory management, debugging and performance optimization.
• Experience in C++, embedded Linux development, SQL databases (MySQL/SQLite).
• Solid knowledge of payment solutions.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, TCP/IP networks and protocols.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Independent, analytical, team-oriented mindset.
• Fluent in English; Italian and/or German is a plus.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Integration of new payment solutions
• Adapting existing payment solutions to customer requirements
• Troubleshooting issues related to payment solutions
• Write clean, efficient and well-documented code that is easily testable, maintainable and reusable
• Write tests to maintain code quality and prevent regressions
• Optimise applications for maximum performance and scalability
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to improve applications and user experience
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in software development

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
• Previous working experience in software development and solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object‑oriented programming (OOP), multithreading, memory management, debugging, and performance optimization
• Experienced in C++, development for embedded Linux systems, SQL‑DBs, e.g. MySQL/SQLite
• Solid knowledge of payment solutions
• Good knowledge of RESTful APIs, TCP/IP networks and communication protocols
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
• Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines is a plus
• Independent and solution‑oriented working attitude as well as analytical thinking
• Enthusiasm, good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Fluent in English, Italian and/or German are a plus

The compensation range provided is based on the current scope and location of the role. Should the position's responsibilities, seniority level, or location differ during the recruitment process, the applicable compensation range may be adjusted accordingly, in line with local market conditions and internal compensation frameworks.
